School Exposure

COVID-19 exposure at Sa-Hali Secondary, schools in Merritt and Salmon Arm also added to Interior Health’s list

KAMLOOPS — A member of the Sa-Hali Secondary school community has tested positive for COVID-19 and is self-isolating at home with support from local public health teams.

Interior Health listed a potential exposure event for Sa-Hali Secondary between May 12 to 14, and May 17 to 19. Beattie Elementary also had a potential exposure event on May 17, and Brocklehurst Middle had one on May 13, 14, 17, and 18.

In SD 58, Merritt Secondary had a potential exposure event on May 18 and 19.

In SD 83, three Salmon Arm schools had potential exposure events: Salmon Arm Secondary – Sullivan Campus on May 14, Salmon Arm Secondary – Jackson Campus on May 17, and Shuswap Middle between May 11 to 13, and on May 18.

Students and staff who may have been in direct contact with the COVID-positive individual are being contacted by health and school officials with further instructions.
