Casimir says she wants to see every level of government working to prevent more loss among Indigenous women and girls.

“It’s something that’s been advocated from Secwepemculw through the BCFN, through the national AFN, right to the federal government,” she said. “We know that at the federal level, yes, there are calls to action, but there really hasn’t been a whole lot of action to basically fulfill some of those steps required to assist in that initiative.”
