KAMLOOPS — More real estate listings are showing up, but the Kamloops and District Real Estate Association says the Kamloops market is still red hot.

KADREA says there were 382 MLS sales recorded last month, 244 percent more than was recorded in April a year ago. The average price of a sale last month was $546,106, up 34 percent from April of 2020.

KADREA President Chelsea Mann says the market is maintaining a positive momentum and isn’t looking back. There were 526 new listings added to the mix last month but Mann says if the current hot market trend continues, the inventory in the region will soon be exhausted.

Chelsea Mann says year-to-date, the residential sales volume was up by almost 148 percent from the same period in 2020, rising to $691.8 million.
