KAMLOOPS — Water restrictions in Kamloops and Merritt start tomorrow (May 1st).
In Kamloops, there is no sprinkling or irrigating between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Even addresses sprinkle on even numbered days, odd addresses on odd-numbered days. Between midnight and 6:00 AM, sprinkling is restricted but is allowed if sprinklers are controlled by an automatic timer.
In Merritt, much the same. Even numbered addresses in Merritt water Monday, Wednesday and Friday, while odd numbered addresses water Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturday. There is no watering allowed in Merritt on Sundays. Watering hours in Merritt are set between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM, and between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM.
Hand watering with a controlled flow nozzle is allowed any time in both Kamloops and Merritt.
