Police watchdog to investigate serious Salmon Arm crash
SALMON ARM, B.C. — B.C.’s police watchdog is investigating a crash that resulted in critical injuries to a woman in Salmon Arm.
Last Thursday (Apr. 22), RCMP were called to a reported domestic disturbance at a home on Abbington Lane in nearby Tappen. Another caller noted a blue Pontiac Vibe may have been connected to the incident.
En route to the call, Mounties saw a blue Pontiac Vibe racing in the opposite direction along the Trans Canada Highway. The officers stopped and turned around and proceeded in the same direction as the Vibe.
A short time later, just east of Sandy Point Road, the officers found the Vibe involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle.
