Vaccinations appointments open for BC residents over 60; registration opens for everyone over 18

VICTORIA — Invitations are going out to more B.C. residents who are 60 and older, to set up appointments to receive a COVID-19 vaccination.
The provincial government says more than 90,000 people are eligible to book a shot through B.C.’s Get Vaccinated program.
Meantime B.C. residents 18 and older will be in a position to register for their vaccinations as of noon today (Apr. 23) online at gov.bc.ca/getvaccinated.
The government says over 1.5 million British Columbians have registered and nearly 500,000 people have booked their shot. As Wednesday, more than 1.4 million people in B.C. have received their first vaccine dose.
