Sahali liquor store robbed, employees doused with bear spray

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are on the lookout for three suspects after a Sahali liquor store was robbed Wednesday night (Apr. 7).

In a news release, spokesperson Cst. Crystal Evelyn says the incident happened at about 11:00 p.m. at a store in the 900-block of Columbia Street West.

Witnesses said two men and a woman walked into the store, grabbed 15-to-20 bottles of hard liquor and a box of alcoholic iced tea, sprayed tellers at the register with bear spray and fled.

Mounties and a police dog attended and found evidence at the scene but could not track the suspects down.

Suspect #1 Description:

  • White man
  • Tall, lanky build
  • Wearing darker clothes and a red and white or white bandana as a mask

Suspect #2 Description:

  • Man, possibly Indigenous
  • Shorter than Suspect #1
  • Wearing darker clothing

Suspect #3 Description:

  • Woman, possibly Indigenous
  • Mid 30s
  • Heavy set
  • About 5’3″
  • Long, black hair, unkempt
  • Very dirty hands
  • ‘Canadian’ accent, gruff voice
  • Wearing a mask, large baggy black hoodie, baggy black pants

Security camera images below, offer some clues to the identities of the suspects.
