‘Keep in mind what you leave behind’: Kamloops RCMP reminding residents of auto crime deterrents
KAMLOOPS — April is Auto Crime Enforcement Month, and Kamloops RCMP are asking residents to ‘keep in mind what you leave behind’.
Thefts from motor vehicles in Kamloops dropped 27 per cent in 2020, as compared to 2019, and police want the public to keep practicing safe habits. RCMP say locking your vehicle regularly and parking in well-lit areas are good ways to deter these crimes.
Cst. Crystal Evelyn says it’s never a bad idea to double check that your locked your car, and give it a once-over before walking away.
