Kamloops Urgent Care Clinic in Sahali to close its doors June 30

KAMLOOPS — One of Kamloops’ last remaining walk-in clinics is closing its doors.

In a media statement, the Kamloops Urgent Care Clinic (KUCC), located in the Real Canadian Superstore building at McGill Road and Columbia Street West, says it will close its doors on June 30, 2021.

Dr. Chris Janz says the decision was made necessary by a shortage of physician capacity.

Janz says the clinic’s initial plan was to close on April 30, but it has secured enough interim physicians to continue operating to the end of June.

He notes the clinic has been open for 15 years and has served about 20,000 patients in that time.
