Project tender announced for latest Trans-Canada improvements through Chase
KAMLOOPS – Another construction job within the four-laning Trans-Canada highway project through Chase, is going to tender.
The provincial ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure issued a news release Thursday (Apr. 1) afternoon.
The tender identified a work area from a section of highway work from Chase Creek West to Chase Creek Bridge. 1.6 kilometres of the highway will be widened from two to four lanes. The work also includes theconstruction of an interchange at Brooke Drive to connect it with Shuswap Avenue.
The provincial government says work is already well underway on the Chase Creek Road to Chase West section. It expects that project will also reduce congestion and improve safety through upgrades to intersections and frontage roads and the construction of a pedestrian underpass.
