WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — The City of Williams Lake is not taking any chances with the spring freshet.

In a note to its website, the City says sand for sandbagging has already been delivered to two locations — Signal Point Road and the South Lakeside lift station.

Public Works Manager Matt Sutherland says there is no imminent threat of spring flooding, but some property owners may want to prepare early.

Anyone who requires sandbags is asked to call (250) 392-8481 to arrange pickup at the City of Williams Lake Works Yard.
