Firefighters Needed

Columbia-Shuswap district puts out call for more firefighter recruits

SALMON ARM, B.C. — The Columbia-Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) is putting out an urgent call for more volunteer firefighters.

In a news release posted to its website, the district says communities in particular need include Eagle Bay, Silver Creek and Malakwa, as well as communities such as Blind Bay and Sorrento served by the Shuswap Fire Department.

The district has produced a video in an effort to help attract potential recruits.
