KAMLOOPS — A woman is facing potential charges after allegedly biting a Kamloops RCMP officer.

In a news release, Cst. Crystal Evelyn says officers responded Monday (Mar. 1) to a complaint of a woman refusing to leave a location in the 1200-block of the West Trans Canada Highway. The caller also reported the woman was being aggressive.

When Mounties arrived and spoke to the woman, she continued to refuse to leave. An officer placed her under arrest, at which point she allegedly bit the officer.

Evelyn says the officer suffered a minor injury.
