RCMP crack down on prohibited drivers in North Shuswap
SCOTCH CREEK, B.C. — Chase RCMP are getting very familiar with the streets of Scotch Creek and Anglemont.
In a news release, Sgt. Barry Kennedy says Chase Mounties have been spending a lot of time in the North Shuswap communities in the past several weeks as they crack down on prohibited drivers and auto theft.
Kennedy says there have been an unusual number of prohibited drivers getting behind the wheel in the North Shuswap, and local traffic members have helped Chase frontline members track them down.
He notes a series of enforcement blitzes this month has resulted in five vehicle impoundments and four incidents of drivers failing to stop for enforcement officers.
