Kamloops partaking in Pink Shirt Day to bring an end to bullying
KAMLOOPS — Many throughout the City of Kamloops are wearing pink and joining the stand against bullying.
Kamloops students, school staff, sheriffs and police officers partook in Pink Shirt Day on Wednesday (Feb. 24) to show the community where they stand on stopping bullying.
“Pink Shirt Day is a reminder of what the district strives for every day, which is having programs and services that encourage healthy self-esteem and relationships, a positive sense of belonging, as well as teaching kindness, compassion and empathy,” Kamloops-Thompson School District Director of Instruction Vessy Mochikas said.
