Kamloops bylaw officer tests positive for COVID-19

KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops community services officer — formerly known as a bylaw officer — has tested positive for COVID-19.

The officer is self-isolating at home with support from the City and public health. They may have had minimal contact with the public during their work in the North Shore on Feb. 18 and 19, but personal protective equipment and physical distancing was used.

Interior Health is responsible for contact tracing. No further details on the officer will be provided due to confidentiality and personal privacy.
