KAMLOOPS — A business in the Dufferin area has its merchandise back after a shopping cart full was stolen early Friday morning (Feb. 19).

According to Cst. Crystal Evelyn, RCMP received alarms for the business in the 1300-block of Hillside Drive at about 12:30 a.m.

Officers at the scene saw that a rock had been used to break the front door glass. Surveillance footage revealed a man dressed in black used the rock to break the glass, came into the store with a shopping cart, filled it up and left.

The suspect left northbound on Hillside Drive, and while the police dog couldn’t track him down, officers did find the shopping cart full of merchandise abandoned on Camosun Crescent.
