Shock of million-dollar lotto win shakes up Merritt woman’s Saturday night

MERRITT, B.C. — It was a non-descript Saturday night for Natalie Jylha — watching TV and scrolling through Facbook when the Merritt woman’s life changed.

Seeing there was winning Lotto 6/49 ticket purchased in Merritt, Jylha checked her ticket online and found she had won $1 million.

According to a B.C. Lottery Corporation news release, Jylha was in shock and her husband in disbelief.

“I just kept saying, ‘I won a million! I won a million!’” Jylha told BCLC.
