KAMLOOPS — The extreme cold temperatures in Kamloops have led to ice forming rapidly on the Thompson Rivers and other area waterways.
Even though the ice is building up, that doesn’t mean it can support your weight — or even the weight of your pet.
Kamloops Fire Rescue says river ice, especially, is unpredictable and extremely hazardous. If you require rescuing, it can put your rescuers at risk in addition to yourself.
