Pacific Coastal Airlines fills Kamloops to Vancouver connection gap
KAMLOOPS — Non-stop service from Vancouver and Kamloops continued this week, with the inaugural flight of Pacific Coastal Airlines to Fulton Field.
Tuesday afternoon (Feb. 9) the airline began a new schedule through the Kamloops Airport (YKA) with its first trip landing at 3:25 p.m. Pacific Coastal Airlines will now offer afternoon flights Sunday through Friday, which will fill the void left by Air Canada’s service cancellation.
Earlier in January, Air Canada halted the only direct flight connection to Vancouver as a result of decreased demand from ongoing travel restrictions and quarantine rules.
“We are very excited to be returning to Kamloops and offer the opportunity for safe, reliable, and essential travel to Vancouver and our British Columbia destinations,” said Pacific Coastal Airlines Vice President of Airports, Laura Nadin-Young in a release. “We welcome back our returning customers and are looking forward to greeting our new customers.”
