RCMP seize stun baton, knives in Thursday morning Brocklehurst arrest

KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops RCMP call into Brocklehurst led officers to seize several weapons Thursday morning (Jan. 21).

According to a release from Cst. Crystal Evelyn, members were called to the 1800-block of Tranquille Road near Holt Street at about 9:33 a.m. for a man who had activated a “taser baton”. The caller provided a description and it did not take long for responding members to find and arrest him.

Upon searching the suspect, officers found a stun baton and several knives, in addition to drugs, drug paraphernalia and stolen property.

The items were seized and the man was released with conditions and a future date in court.
