One death at Gemstone Care Centre in Brocklehurst as COVID-19 outbreak grows

KAMLOOPS — Interior Health is confirming one person has died of COVID-19 at Gemstone Care Centre in Brocklehurst.

In an email to CFJC Today, IH says the outbreak has grown to 16 residents and four staff, for a total of 20 cases.

Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry is issuing a written briefing today and it is expected to reflect this latest information about Gemstone.

The outbreak at Gemstone was declared on January 13.
