Cardi B: WAP video budget was a million dollars?!

A question to Cardi B on Instagram led to a full on interview by fans about the cost of her videos. After posting that she spent 15 thousand dollars on her 2017 “Bodak Yellow” video, she started answering other questions.

Over a series of posts she said, “Money” cost 400K. “Please Me” was 900K. And the “WAP” video was a million!”

When asked about the “Lick” video starring Offset, she said his wardrobe alone was $40,000 and she paid it out of her own pocket because she didn’t wanna look like a small artist with a tiny music budget. She admitted that didn’t tell him that until much later.

She went into more detail about “Lick,” saying that it was shot at a casino in a Holiday Inn in Jersey and she was embarrassed because it looked so low budget. About the on camera kiss with Offset, she said, “I barely knew him, so I was so shy and when he kissed me, my heart sinked.”
