Friday morning crash snarls Trans Canada traffic in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — A multi-vehicle incident snarled traffic on the Trans Canada Highway, just east of the Peterson Creek Bridge on Friday morning (Jan. 15).

Kamloops Fire Rescue and RCMP were both on scene at the crash, which involved at least two vehicles.

The crash occurred in the westbound lane, just past the point where Highway 5 and the Trans Canada Highway merge near Peterson Creek.

It doesn’t appear that there were any serious injuries as a result of the crash, but traffic was backed up on the highway and through the city for quite some time due to the incident.
