Stabbing in Lower Nicola sends one to hospital

LOWER NICOLA, B.C. — The Merritt RCMP has released details into a stabbing incident in Lower Nicola which resulted in one victim being transported to hospital in Kamloops.
“On January 10, 2021, Merritt RCMP responded to the Rocky Pines IR in Lower Nicola for a complaint of an assault. Police arrived to find that one of the two combatants had multiple stab wounds,” said Cpl. Derrick Francis.
The most serious injury was a stab wound to the abdomen.
“The injuries required immediate transport to the Royal Inland Hospital and emergency surgery. The victim remains in hospital,” added Francis.
