BTS’s Suga Talks Surgery

BTS’s Suga recently spoke with Weverse Magazine about his struggle to recover from the shoulder surgery he had in November.

The rapper went under the knife to correct an injury he sustained after being hit by a car while working as a delivery boy in 2016.

According to People, the 27-year-old told the magazine, “The pain is one thing, but when my shoulders got worse, I couldn’t even raise my arms.”

While he recovers, he has been excluded from the group’s recent promotional appearances for their latest album BE, reducing them to a sextet.

Suga said, “I could see the emptiness [onstage] because we’ve been together as a group of seven for so long.  Not necessarily because I’m not there, but because something that should be there is missing.”

He continued, “Apparently, it takes several months for a full recovery. But, I’m trying to get better as fast as possible. I think it’ll get even better once I take off this brace.”

This was not the singer’s first attempt to repair his injured shoulder.  According to Big Hit Entertainment, he also had surgery to fix a tear in his shoulder joint in November 2019.
