Kamloops sees large COVID-19 spike with 68 new cases last week

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops has experienced an alarming jump in the number of COVID-19 cases recorded over the past week.
According to the latest data from the B.C. Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) published Wednesday (Jan. 6), there were 68 COVID-19 infections found during the week of Dec. 27 to Jan. 2. That is by far the largest weekly total ever reported for Kamloops, and up from 27 cases the previous week.
