REVELSTOKE, B.C. — Interior Health (IH) is once again singling out the community of Revelstoke for increased COVID-19 spread.

In a bulletin released Tuesday (Jan. 5), IH says the region saw 22 new cases last week, up from seven cases the week prior. Per capita, IH says Revelstoke’s rates are higher than many areas of B.C. There have been 85 cases cumulatively in the Revelstoke region.

IH says there is no specific source for the increased viral activity in the area. Revelstoke was the site of a COVID-19 cluster in late November and early December.

The health region is reminding residents to keep their resolve high as they try to prevent COVID-19 transmission within their community. It adds residents should get a test at the first sign of symptoms.
