BROWN, Antonia (Toni) (Bieleckie – Loshuk)

It is with deep sadness that the family of Antonia (Toni) Brown announces the passing of their wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and cherished friend on December 7, 2020 at Royal Inland Hospital. Toni will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 19 years, Jim; daughters, Marcella Schmidt and Janie Esser; daughter-in-law, Linda Loshuk; step-children, Kris (Kevin) Stewart, Jimmy (Tammy) Brown, Sue Brown. She will also be greatly missed by her 8 grandchildren, Rhonda, Lonney, Randine, Michael, Jacqueline, Tracey, Tanya , Brandy and her 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and their extended families. Also, long time family friends, Frans and Sylvia Van der Woning and her lifetime friend, Lillian Butchko.

She was predeceased by her husband, Michael Loshuk (1996), son, Randall Loshuk (2017) daughter, Coranne Shore (2018); sons-in-law, John Esser and Ron Schmidt; father, Karl Bieleckie, mother and step-father, Mary and Steve Bodnarchuk; sisters, Nellie Bieleckie, Bertha Kendall and brother, Cass Bieleckie.

Toni was born in Canora, Sask., having a happy childhood on the farm with her parents and siblings. Her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins lived nearby. Her first job as a Nurse’s Aide was in the Canora Hospital at 17 years old, in later years at the Trail Regional Hospital, followed by Royal Inland Hospital – Central Supply. Toni loved to travel across Canada in a motor home visiting with relatives and exploring new adventures. Also, cruising to Mexico and travel to Hawaii, Portugal, Bali, Gibraltar, Spain, Holland and Padre Island. She authored books for her family of her memories from her childhood and upbringing to adolescent years, early adulthood, marriage and children. She also wrote individual books for each of her children that were presented to them on their 60th birthdays.

Toni’s top priority was always love and caring for her family and friends. So many special celebrations held at their home with all welcomed with hugs, love and wonderful food. She was admired for her beauty, grace, dignity and she will be forever loved and missed by all.

Cremation and a private service at Schoening Funeral Chapel has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held when all may safely gather.
