Inaugural Turkey toss a big success
KAMLOOPS — Well, we didn’t get to toss any turkeys, but the First Annual 98.3 CIFM/Save On Foods Turkey Toss for the Mustard Seed was still a big success.
The promotion involved a number of sponsors who donated to the event, to help the Mustard Seed help those marginalized during the holiday season.
The initial event tossing the turkeys was omitted because of COVID-19 restrictions, but the fundraising side of the event turned out to be very successful. $13,200 in donations and 25 turkeys were presented yesterday.
CIFM general manager Leo Baggio says the community responded as they always do, making the 98.3 CIFM/Save On Foods Turkey Toss for the Mustard Seed successful despite the pandemic. He says they’re hoping for another successful event next year, hopefully minus the COVID restrictions.
