New B.C. COVID-19 case count down to 522 — but 21 more people have died from the virus
VICTORIA — The province has recorded 522 new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday (Dec. 15), the lowest total in weeks.
In a news release, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry says 56 of those cases were found in Interior Health.
The new cases bring the provincial total to 43,463, distributed through B.C. as follows:
- 10,620 — Vancouver Coastal (up 84)
- 27,679 — Fraser Health (up by 338)
- 794 — Island Health (up by 7)
- 2,907 — Interior Health (up by 56)
- 1,368 — Northern Health (up by 37)
- 99 — Reside outside of Canada (unchanged)
