KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Sexual Assault Counselling Centre (KSACC) is one of 23 organizations in B.C. to benefit from a three-year, $10 million provincial grant program.

The successful recipients were announced Tuesday (Dec. 15) by the Ending Violence Association of BC (EVA BC), the organization administering the grants.

“This grant program will help organizations deliver community-based, emergency sexual assault response services that are trauma informed and culturally appropriate,” says an EVA BC news release.

The funding will allow KSACC to establish the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Response Team Project, which is meant to “enhance services to survivors of sexual assault in Kamloops and surrounding smaller communities.”
