Online event planned for Wednesday will celebrate the life of Katherine McParland

KAMLOOPS — Those whose lives were touched by the late Katherine McParland are being invited to take part in an online remembrance event for her.
The Zoom event will take place this Wednesday (Dec. 16) beginning at 6:00 p.m., and will be hosted by the Thompson-Nicola branch of the B.C. Association of Social Workers (BCASW).
McParland was the executive director of A Way Home Kamloops, an organization dedicated to finding housing solutions for young people facing homelessness.
In March, the BCASW awarded her the Heart of the Grasslands Award for community service.
