Detours in place around Yew Street and Mackenzie Avenue due to water main break

KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops says traffic has been halted on Yew Street this morning (Nov. 24) due to a water main break.

Yew Street was already closed between Mackenzie Avenue and Tranquille Road for construction work, and an update on the City’s website says the water main break has led to a complete closure of Yew, along with the one-way portion of Mackenzie Ave.

There is no word yet on when the water main will be repaired.
