COVID-19 outbreak declared at Kelowna long term care home

KELOWNA – Another long term care home in Kelowna is the subject of a declared COVID-19 outbreak by Interior Health.
The outbreak is at Orchard Manor. One staff member tested positive for COVID-19. IH says no residents have tested positive or are experiencing symptoms.
Orchard Manor is connected to Hawthorn Park which provides independent and assisted living services. 161 beds make up the entire facility. Interior Health says outbreak protocols, including a temporary halt to visits at Orchard Manor, have been implemented.
Interior Health says no long-term care residents have tested positive for COVID-19 at any homes in the region.
