Gang enforcement team seizes drugs, cash and weapons in Prince George and Quesnel
PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — The RCMP say a recent visit by the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of B.C.’s Uniform Gang Enforcement Team (UGET) to target and disrupt drug trafficking groups was a success.
Cpl. Craig Douglass says on Nov. 12 and Nov.14 UGET assisted the local RCMP with intelligence gathering and enforcement leading to “many checks of persons known to be involved in criminal activity.”
He says it resulted in the seizure of “large amounts of methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl, along with thousands of dollars in cash and numerous weapons including two firearms.”
On Nov.13 Douglass says UGET were in Quesnel and seized “drugs, ammunition, cash and a multitude of weapons including a crossbow, during their investigation.”
