Tk’emlups te Secwepemc by-election postponed until further notice

TK’EMLUPS, B.C. — Tk’emlups te Secwepemc chief and council have postponed the nation’s by-election, previously set for November 28, until further notice.

In a notice posted to the Tk’emlups website, Chief Rosanne Casimir says the increase in COVID-19 cases forced council to make the decision, which she called difficult.

The by-election will choose a candidate to fill a single vacancy around the Tk’emlups council table.
