RCMP say weekend fires at Pioneer Log Homes in Williams Lake likely arson
WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — RCMP in Williams Lake are investigating after a weekend fire did significant damage to the Pioneer Log Homes site on Hodgson Road in the city.
According to a news release, officers were called to help firefighters at about 3:20 a.m. on Sunday (Nov. 8).
Two logging trucks and a building on the site were completely engulfed by the time crews arrived. RCMP say a third logging truck was found with its windows smashed.
A 90-year-old woman who lives at the Pioneer Complex Building and Conference Centre escaped unharmed.
