UPDATE: Power restored to east Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — UPDATE: BC Hydro says power has been restored.

EARLIER: Nearly 4,000 BC Hydro customers lost power in east Kamloops Thursday morning (Nov. 5).

According to BC Hydro’s website, the outage encompasses Valleyview, Dallas, Barnhartvale, Campbell Creek and Juniper Ridge.

Reports on social media suggest Sun Rivers is also without power.

There is no confirmed cause, but wind whipped up in Kamloops Thursday.

BC Hydro has not estimated a time for power to be restored.
