RCMP looking into fatal house fire in Revelstoke

REVELSTOKE, B.C. — RCMP in Revelstoke say they are probing the death of a woman in a weekend fire.

Saturday morning (Oct. 24) around 10:30 a.m., RCMP were called to help firefighters at the scene of a house fire in the 1600-block of Douglas Street in the town.

Inside, firefighters found a woman dead. Though RCMP do not believe the fire was criminal in nature, they are joining the BC Coroners Service in investigating the circumstances.
