KAMLOOPS — Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for much of southern B.C. due to snowfall predicted for the end of the week.
The statement covers all areas in the Kamloops region, as well as areas further east and south.
Forecasters say a low pressure system will move in from Vancouver Island on Friday, colliding with Arctic air coming south. By the afternoon Friday, the front is expected to reach Kamloops.
That means snowfall is expected for Friday, possibly mixed with rains in southern and eastern areas where temperatures are expected to be milder.
