Province plans 150-kilometre Trans Canada closure through Fraser Canyon

SPUZZUM, B.C. — A 150-kilometre stretch of the Trans Canada Highway will be closed for part of this week for bridge repairs.

The province’s Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure says the stretch of highway from Cache Creek south to Spuzzum will close at 10:00 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 22) until 6:00 a.m. the following morning.

Crews will use the time to complete repairs to the Spuzzum Bridge.

Traffic will be detoured to the Coquihalla Highway via Highway 1 at Cache Creek to Kamloops or Highway 8 at Spences Bridge to Merritt.
