Fake money has 100 Mile House Tim’s employees doing double-double take

100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — RCMP say someone in 100 Mile House is paying for his coffee and snacks with fake cash.

According to an RCMP news release, the same man has entered the 100 Mile House Tim Horton’s location twice on Sunday (Oct. 11) and paid for his order with fake U.S. $50 bills on both occasions. The loss to the restaurant was approximately $130.

Suspect description:

  • Bearded
  • Wearing a red coat, black ball cap and backpack
  • Driving a white Chevrolet Uplander van
