Warnings issued with weekend snowfall expected for Coquihalla Highway, Okanagan Connector
KAMLOOPS — Drivers are reminded to take extra caution this weekend, with snowfall warnings and weather statements issued for several high elevation roads in the South Thompson.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Coquihalla Highway from Merritt to Kamloops, and Hope to Merritt.
Up to 5cm of wet snow is possible tonight (Oct. 11), and an additional 5 to 10 cm could fall Monday evening.
A series of fast moving frontal systems will move through the southern interior tonight and tomorrow, bringing cooler air which will cause snow levels to fall overnight.
