B.C. Operation Red Nose ride home campaigns will not operate in 2020

KAMLOOPS — Operation Red Nose says it’s 2020 safe ride service will not operate in B.C. this holiday season.

In a news release, the organization’s headquarters says the COVID-19 pandemic and logistical impact of “the current public health situation” have led to the decision to cancel for the year.

Instead, Operation Red Nose says it will unveil an awareness campaign around the dangers of impaired driving.

Annually, Operation Red Nose offers rides home after holiday parties in exchange for donations to non-profit organizations.
