Prices keep climbing as Kamloops real estate sector roars back from pandemic slowdown

KAMLOOPS — The local real estate sector is roaring back after a COVID-19-related slowdown earlier in the year.

New figures from the Kamloops and District Real Estate Association (KADREA) show 332 total sales last month, up 24 per cent over September of 2019.

KADREA President Wendy Runge says it’s the fourth consecutive month of record sales totals.

Prices have also continued on the increase.

The average sale price in the region was about $493,600, a 15 per cent increase over the same time last year. Within the city itself, the average sales price was up to nearly $525,000 in September.
