City Councillor running as Independent in Fraser-Nicola

MERRITT — With the deadline for nominations in the provincial election closing last Friday, a couple of independents have rounded out the list in Fraser-Nicola.
Merritt City Councillor Mike Bhangu sent an email out early this morning (Oct 5) stating he was running as an independent. Bhangu says he feels he can get more done outside the constraints of an established party. He says he will fight for the family, those who suffer from mental health, small business and the retiree.
Banghu is the 5th candidate in the riding, joining another Independent, Dennis Adamson, Aaron Sumexheltza for the NDP, Jackie Tegart of the Liberals and Jonah Timms for the Green Party.
