KAMLOOPS — One person is in custody after gunshots were fired at a North Shore home Thursday (Oct. 1).

According to a news release from Staff Sgt. Sascha Fesenko of Kamloops RCMP, officers were called to the area of Willow Street Thursday at about 5:15 p.m. for the report of gunshots.

When officers arrived, they saw damage to a home that appeared to be caused by a gun.

Fesenko says there were people in the home at the time but no one was hurt.

Investigators identified a suspect and called in the Southeast District Emergency Response Team to help take him into custody. They converged on a home in Dallas Friday morning and arrested the man.

Fesenko says police believe the home was targeted.

Anyone who witnessed the shooting incident Thursday is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP at (250) 828-3000.
