LIV TYLER LEAVES 9-1-1: Liv Tyler will not return to season 2 of 9-1-1: Lone Star on Fox. She signed a multi-year deal, but opted out over health concerns amid coronavirus. She is based in the U.K., and would have had to commute between there and L.A. “What a thrill it was having a movie star of Liv Tyler’s stature to help us launch the first season of 9-1-1: Lone Star,” co-creator and showrunner Tim Minear said in a statement. “We loved working with Liv and will be forever indebted to her for her haunting, powerful portrayal of Michelle Blake. While we were able to tell a complete chapter in Michelle’s story, as with Connie Britton on our mothership, we also feel like there are more stories to be told. The door here will always be open for a return.” (Deadline)

BISHOP MICHAEL CURRY TALKS MEGHAN & HARRY: Bishop Michael Curry sat down with People to discuss the wedding he performed for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. He said: “After I preached the sermon, I just remember it was like I could feel slaves around the place. I don’t mean to be spooky, but it was like their voice was somehow heard that day. I included one of their songs, ‘There is a Balm in Gilead.’” He continued: “It was like their voice, one of their songs, one of their descendants was there that day. The Queen was most gracious. The fact that all happened, for me, it’s a sign of hope. It’s a sign of hope that one who descends from people who were captured in the slave trade, probably the British slave trade, is brought from the shores of West Africa, to the shores of America. That one of their descendants was in the presence of the Queen of England, and he quoted one of their songs. That’s hope that we don’t have to be the way we’ve always been.” (People)
