Opposition leaders Wilkinson, Furstenau hammer Horgan’s snap election call
VICTORIA — Opposition party leaders in British Columbia are criticizing John Horgan’s decision to call a snap election for October 24th.
Liberal Leader Andrew Wilkinson called Horgan’s announcement cynical and says the election is not wanted by anyone other than the NDP.
He says a vote isn’t necessary during the COVID-19 pandemic and holding an election is “just plain wrong.”
Green Leader Sonia Furstenau says the decision is irresponsible and Horgan put his government’s political future ahead of the province.
